Lesley Gibbons

I have always liked to draw and paint since my school days and eventually joined a small art group in Stoke -on-Trent in my mid-20’s. Here I received a good grounding in painting from an excellent tutor who was a designer in the Pottery industry and an exhibiting artist.

I took a long break from painting as life took a different direction and it wasn’t until I was made redundant and took early retirement that I began to paint again. After moving up to Beverley 18 months ago I found myself in Beverley Art Group, a lovely group of people where I feel relaxed enough to do my own thing.I am experimenting with oils and acrylics and re-learning a lot of things that I had forgotten!
