My name is Linda Saxby , a local artist and like many others I am self taught.
I started my journey working in water colour but after a few years started to experiment with other mediums. I enjoyed using coloured pencils, pens, inks, acrylics and printing using a Gelli plate. I then discovered collage and experimented and found that I loved turning something that was no longer in use , into something to be enjoyed.
For inspiration I would find and follow artists on You Tube that I admired. I learnt a lot from these talented artists , picking out the bits that I liked and then developing my own style. It’s fun to keep on learning.
My second source of inspiration comes from the talented artists on this site. I have been
a member for several years and as a founding member of the Events committee I feel privileged to help carry the club into new adventures .
