A busy month as we participated in the Oldroyd’s Corner Open Day Event . We put up our gazebos in the community garden and set out our paintings, mounts and cards. We had help from the volunteers in the centre who in between ensuring that the garden was event ready, helped by carrying and arranging the many tables that we needed to set up.
Friday 4th July was for invited guests who came to look at how the centre is developing, the plans for the future and to talk to the current groups and volunteers who are involved. The Men in Sheds also set up outside their unit to show the range of projects and skills that they haven and they also showed visitors around their workshop.

Neil Helyard, local Artist who has supported us by visiting our exhibitions over the years was spotted chatting to club members and looking around our exhibition space.
On Saturday members of the public were welcomed into the centre and we had compliments for the work on display and we were able to talk to people about the benifits of joining a local Art Club.
Membership
We have a number of new members who have joined us recently and they chose to exhibit their work at this event which added to the diverse and vibrant work which we had on display.
Our Friday sessions have proved to be very popular but we are now starting to build up new membership on Wednesdays too. We have started a waiting list for Fridays and we will continue to keep our door open at the Art Room for people to visit and ask about what we do and to arrange a free taster session.
You can also use the contact form on this site which will be answered by our Secretary Patwho will answer questions and arrange for you to visit the club.
