Hi everyone,
Visited a number of the Open Studios on Sunday 6th October and we weren’t disappointed ! One stop on the trail for Linda and I was Woodmansey Garden Centre, number 4 on the trail where Robert Fowler, a Sculptor is the artist in residence in Oldroyd’s Corner.
He works in stone and metal and has around thirty sculptures displayed in the garden, which is under glass.
What a great place to exhibit his pieces and poetry, which are quite powerful and have a presence in this quiet and tranquil setting. To access the garden you will need to walk through the Garden Centre to the back of the building.
The garden is also home to the ‘Men in Sheds “and for the duration of the Open Studios one of our club members John Fewings.
John is an award winning artist who initially worked in mixed media/ collage but now creates digital art , exploring different styles and subject matter.

Members who wish to attend the club but not participate in any of the workshops will still be able to attend and a space will be provided for them to work on their own projects. Note that the workshops are open exclusively to our membership.
